Androfill Media Reports
Report from Martin, 32, Builder & Model.
Martin, who was single at the time after splitting up with his wife admits his insecurity had a negative impact on relationships.
But when Martin stumbled across the Androfill clinic online, it was a turning point. He says: “I spoke to them and they said I was well above average in length. But from their research, they said women seem to focus on girth and I could try the fillers.”
Martin, from Essex, has now had the procedure three times and has gone from a girth of around five inches when flaccid, to more than six.
“My missus says she can definitely tell and can feel the difference. She’s had her boobs done and I see it as being sort of the same thing.”

Androfill Technique ®
Micro-cannula
The Androfill Technique uses a 21g blunt-tipped cannula to inject into a deeper layer of the penis, creating a smoother and firmer result.
This provides a smoother and firmer result.

If the filler is injected too superficially (just under the loose outer skin), it may be detectable and will be more likely to move and form lumps.
Injecting filler at depth (deep to the Dartos Fascia) – Androfill Technique
It is essential to inject filler deep to the Dartos Fascia, however, this is not being achieved elsewhere.
Alternative Clinics

- The injection is too shallow (subcutaneous), with the cannula clearly visible under the skin. The filler will be easily detectable from the surface and the outcome is likely to be suboptimal.
- The filler is not being injected deep to the Dartos Fascia.
- A single entry point along the midline is being used rather than two entry points on either side of the midline. It is safer to avoid the midline as this contains a number of vital structures.
Alternative Clinic 2 – Logo Removed
- The injection is too shallow (subcutaneous), with the cannula clearly visible under the skin.
- The filler is being injected in the wrong direction, from halfway down the penis. The entry point should be the junction of the penis and the pubis.

- A single entry point along the midline is being used rather than two entry points on either side of the midline. It is safer to avoid the midline as this contains a number of vital structures.
Is the treatment safe?
The Androfill procedure is safer compared to penile enlargement surgery due to the decreased risk of infection and reversible nature of the treatment. However, no procedure is completely without risk and your practitioner will outline these to you during your consultation.
Cosmetic enhancement procedures are among the most commonly chosen aesthetic treatments in Australia, frequently used to enhance facial contours by subtly adding volume or defining areas such as the lips, cheeks, and jawline.
For over 25 years, these minimally invasive treatments have formed a part of aesthetic medicine, offering patients a range of tailored enhancement options. In recent years, similar techniques have also been adapted for certain body contouring procedures, providing a patient-centred approach to achieving desired outcomes.
In some instances, cosmetic enhancement results can be adjusted post-procedure, offering patients flexibility in their treatment plan. When carried out by a qualified and experienced practitioner using advanced techniques, these enhancements can be carefully tailored to suit individual preferences across various areas of the body.
Alternative Options:
Patients considering aesthetic procedures may find it beneficial to explore non-surgical, psychological, or other approaches with their practitioner. A comprehensive consultation helps ensure that all potential methods of achieving personal goals are considered.
Safety and Outcome Variability:
For those exploring non-surgical options, many enhancement treatments offer an alternative to invasive procedures, often providing consistent results. However, as with all medical procedures, these treatments carry potential risks, and a thorough consultation with a qualified healthcare professional is essential for making an informed choice.
Complications and Risks:
During your consultation, your practitioner will provide a detailed discussion of potential complications and outcomes, ensuring you are fully informed about the treatment and recovery process.

FAQ Penis Enlargement Injections
Estimate Only
There is significant variation from patient to patient, so we have provided conservative estimates.
Many patients will achieve more girth than this (and a few potentially less).
Based on measurements of approximately 600 patients.
Thickness Increase Estimate
The amount of girth gained depends on the length of the penis and the amount of procedure injected.
A shorter penis will require less procedure, and therefore less cost. Conversely, a longer penis will require more procedure.
A significant increase in girth can certainly be particularly noticeable during sex, for both you and your partner, and we strongly recommend testing your new girth with any long-term partner, before opting for any additional size gains.
Further procedures can be provided at a follow-up appointment as soon as two weeks later if any additional girth is desired, and patients have flexibility in determining the amount of girth gained, within medically acceptable limits.
The safest and most effective approach is to add girth cumulatively, in manageable steps and with repeat visits, rather than an ‘all in one go’ approach.
As the recovery time is quite short, it is not a major inconvenience to have a small amount of additional procedure on a subsequent visit should that be desired.
* Individual results will vary from person to person.
See our Before and After section for typical results.
Short Answer: Yes, a V, Y or Z-shaped scar.
This is what the scarring looks like (UK and EU clinic photos 2011-2018).
UK Penis Lengthening Surgery in 2016. BBC Television

Germany – Penile Lengthening 2016

Germany – Penile Lengthening 2016

Explanation:
If you are in a long-term relationship, and your partner knows about your penis lengthening surgery, then scarring may not cause you any embarrassment.
If you are a young man and expect to have numerous sexual partners during your lifetime, then ask yourself whether you will feel comfortable explaining away the scars under your pubic hair; in the shape of the letters V, Y, Z.
A scar will need to be made to cut the ligaments. It won’t be fully hidden by your pubic hair.
Short Answer: Unfortunately penile shortening is the most common complication of penis lengthening surgery (ligamentolysis).
But only if the ligaments reattach. We always use a silicone buffer to help prevent ligaments from reattaching and the penis shortening.
In a small number of cases the silicone buffer can become infected and may need to be surgically removed.
Wearing a penis extender for 8 hours per day for 1 year after surgery also helps to prevent retraction and shortening of the penis.
Make sure you are familiar with wearing a penis extender before your surgery and are convinced that wearing one for this length of time will not disrupt your normal routine.

Explanation:
If you don’t wear a penis extender after penis lengthening surgery, the ligaments are likely to reattach to the penis shaft, further down towards the head, making your penis shorter than before surgery.
Surgeons have tried to prevent penile shortening and reattachment by inserting plastic or Gore-tex into the gap between the penile base and the pubis, with varying levels of success.
Before having penis lengthening surgery, first buy a penis extender, to make 100% sure you can wear it for 8-10 hours per day, as part of your normal everyday routine. You’ll need to wear one after lengthening surgery.
“Penile shortening is a major complication of penile lengthening surgery, usually resulting from the freely hanging penis reattaching to the pubic bone located higher on the corporal bodies. The likelihood of this complication can be minimised by the placement of surrounding soft tissues, fat tissues, silicone, polytetrafluoroethylene, Gore-Tex, and other artificial materials.”
Nam Cheol Park, Kim, Moon, Penile Augmentation 2016.
Short Answer: 35% satisfaction rate
Unfortunately, satisfaction rates with penis lengthening surgery are not high. A 7-year study by St Peters Andrology Centre in London (link) found that only 35% of patients were happy with the results after penis lengthening surgery.
We believe this is down to poor technique, and mis-selling of the benefits of penis lengthening surgery (for example by claiming it makes the erect penis longer).

Explanation:
“The [penis lengthening] procedure led to an average increase of 1.3 cm in flaccid penis length.
However, only 35% of men who had the operation were happy with the results.”
Source: NHS referenced study 2006.

“Penis length surgery involves cutting the ligament with which the penis is attached to the pubic bone and grafting added skin to the base to increase length. This will increase the size of the flaccid penis by up to 2cm, but it doesn’t affect the size of the erect penis. The cut ligament may also not provide the support it originally did, which means that you might find your erections less satisfactory as a result. There is also a risk that this type of surgery may cause the side effect of pain during sex.”
Penis lengthening surgery is not popular among mainstream doctors and Urologists.
As it has not been shown to be safe or effective, and as it is cosmetic surgery, it is not available from the NHS.
American Urological Association statement of Penis Lengthening Surgery (division of the suspensory ligament).
The American Urological Association considers the division of the suspensory ligament of the penis [penis lengthening surgery] for increasing penile length in adults to be a procedure which has not been shown to be safe or effective.

NHS: “A lot of men who have this treatment don’t truly appreciate this loss of angle,” says Professor Wylie. “It can make sex quite uncomfortable. You’ve got to do a lot more manoeuvring with your partner. The advantage of a 2cm gain in flaccid length is far outweighed by the loss of angle of erection.”
Alternative methods to increase your erect penis length are:
Method 1. Wear a Penis Extender for a very long time, there is some evidence that you will gain length.

Method 2. Liposuction of the fat below the abdominal region.
(An excellent method if you are overweight)

For men with a large stomach, liposuction to remove fat below the abdomen (area highlighted below in blue) can make the penis protrude further out from the body, making it appear longer.
The stomach can be so large as to partially bury the penis.
Patient’s who are obese may find that a lot of their penis is hidden away under excess fat.
This fat can be removed by the surgeon to bring more of the penis out.

(Blue area highlighted is where fat is removed from).
Method 3 – True Erect Length
A highly invasive surgical approach which increases both erect and flaccid length.
Price from: $40,000
This is the safest medical approach available to thicken the penis and considerably safer than surgery.
Complications are rare and usually minor, including temporary swelling and mild bruising.
For more details on risks and possible complications, see here
Infection is a rare possibility. The risk is reduced with a course of antibiotics.
Worldwide, the number of facial aesthetic procedures performed using reversible dermal procedures exceeds 5 million each year.
Complications are exceedingly rare when a reversible penis procedure is injected by an experienced doctor.
You could, for example, come in during your lunch hour and have a 30-minute consultation with the doctor.
Then, if you wanted to go ahead, the doctor would give you some numbing cream to apply to the penis.
Then wait 30 minutes; for the penis to go numb.
You then lay back, and the doctor injects the procedure into the space between the loose skin onthe penis and the penis shaft.
The procedure points from the needle close over in a matter of seconds, or a few minutes at most.
You could go straight back to work if you take it easy, for example, if you work in an office.
However no manual labour or heavy lifting for one week.
– You’re unlikely to experience pain during the procedure, or the recovery.
A video of the complete procedure is shown below. It is possible to complete the procedure with only one incision through the use of a cannula if preferred.
No.
This is a non-invasive approach to increasing the girth of the penis, using established techniques from aesthetic medicine.
The procedure itself is completed in less than 30 minutes, with the application of topical anaesthetic cream only.
You will be awake during the procedure which involves the doctor injecting the penis procedure under the skin of the penis around the penis shaft.
Patients are able to leave the clinic directly after the procedure and are free to walk or drive home.
The procedure requires no stitches and leaves only tiny procedure points from the procedure syringe, which close on their own in a matter of seconds.
Yes.
You are able to drive home following the procedure.
No stitches are required. Tiny holes are made by the needle in order to inject the procedure solution.
You should not have sexual intercourse for 14 days following the procedure.
This ensures that all procedure points are completely healed over, in order to reduce any chance of infection.
During the first 3-5 days, the procedure is also semi-malleable and will be susceptible to movement should the patient engage in sexual intercourse.
Yes.
The penis will function normally in terms of erection and urination. The angle of the erection may be lower due to the increased weight of the penis, and the penis may hang slightly lower when soft (less retraction). The penis will have more girth or thickness when soft and when hard.

Yes.
Your penis will be instantly thicker following the treatment, due to the procedure added to the penis.
You can book in for the treatment on the same day as your consultation with the plastic surgeon and have both the consultation and the treatment completed within the hour.
Yes.
The procedure will slowly reabsorb, usually over 12-24 months depending on your metabolic rate and the type of procedure used.
Eventually, all of the procedure will be dissolved. You may need approximately 1/2 the original amount of procedure again in a repeat treatment in 12 months if you wish to maintain your extra penis girth.
*Results may vary from person to person.
Depending on the rate of reabsorption and the type of procedure used, a repeat will be required within 12-24 months.
We offer an initial 8-10 ml of procedure, after which additional procedure can be added, if desired, after 2 weeks.
It is possible to have more procedure, but this must be done cumulatively for the best result, and the highest level of safety.
Ultimately, the girth limit will be determined by the doctor.
Yes, at Androfill in the United Kingdom and Belgium.
The technique is available at the North Valley Plastic Surgery in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, and at the Nefretete Klinik in Bonn, Germany and is relatively common in South Korea.
Enlarging the girth of the penis with penis procedures has almost entirely replaced penis enlargement surgery due to the relative safety of the procedure versus surgery.
In countries where girth enhancement is more commonplace, such as in South Korea, an injectable procedure is now used in over 80% of penile girth enhancement procedures and the percentage is steadily increasing.
No.
You fit squarely within the normal range of men.
If you want a bigger penis you are in the majority – most men would enjoy a larger penis.
Opting to increase penis girth is more normal (some might argue) than:
- Investing significant time in the gym body-building (steroids and supplements)
- Spending excessively on luxuries for the ego, such as the cliché of a sports car
- Just going through life unsatisfied with an important aspect of your body and identity when there is a relatively easy solution.
For erect length, no.
For flaccid length, yes, the weight of the procedure can cause it to hang lower in the flaccid state.
* Individual results may vary from person to person.
However, as is also the case for ‘penis lengthening surgery‘, there is no increased length in the erect state.
For the majority of men, it is extra length when hard that matters, not more length when soft.
The good news for heterosexual couples is that there is evidence that the majority of women prefer penis girth over penis length. Penis girth is what is provided by this procedure.
In a University of Texas Study, 90% of partners preferred a wider penis while only 10% preferred a longer penis, a link to the study is here.
A study by UCLA’s Sexual Psychophysiology and Affective Neuroscience (SPAN) Laboratory found that women prefer a larger penis girth for casual sex.
Results of this study, as reported by LiveScience, have not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal.
Penile surgery is a higher risk and largely obsolete approach to penis enlargement.
A surgical approach is taking unnecessary risks, with your penis.
For penis thickness, surgery is no longer necessary.
It might sound like a good idea to make the penis “fatter” by using fat.
However, the penis is not made of fat, to begin with, and fat has a soft fatty texture which is not ideal in the penis.
Men choose to have girth enhancement purely to increase self-confidence or as an ego boost, and may not have a small penis at all.
The majority of our patients have an average penis size.
For those in long-term relationships, consideration should be given to the penis size preference of one’s partner.
Incompatibility in sizes can be the cause of significant dissatisfaction in sexual relationships.
It may be inadvisable to proceed with a girth increase (if your partner prefers a smaller or thinner penis, for example).
If a reversible penis procedure is used the procedure can be dissolved away.
If a bio-stimulator procedure is used, the result cannot be dissolved away and you must wait, up to 4 years, for the penis procedure to break down and leave the body.
The procedure takes less than 30 minutes on an out-patient basis. However, 2 hours should be set aside in order to have a consultation with the doctor and ask any additional questions you have. Topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) also has to be given time to work.
You can leave the clinic and walk or drive home straight away.

Significantly better filtration and procedure techniques (Lipivage) allow us to achieve the highest rate of fat survival possible.
A higher rate of fat survival means that you might need fewer top-up procedures in future (potentially requiring as little as 5 or 6 fat transfer surgeries over a lifetime).
The consultation takes up to 30 minutes, it takes a further 30 minutes for the topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) to take effect.
The procedure procedure takes around 15 minutes.
Please allow for 2 hours at the clinic.

It depends on how well they know your penis.
Many patients do not inform their partners of their enhancement.
For a complete list of frequently asked questions, see our Penis Fillers section.
Mild bruising and swelling around the procedure site is possible, and will usually have disappeared 3 – 7 days after the procedure.
Sex can be resumed 14 days following the procedure procedures.

Short Answer: Penis Lengthening Surgery won’t make the ERECT penis any longer, it only makes the FLACCID (soft penis) hang out lower from the body.
This point is often misunderstood, and it is not well explained in most cases.
Penis Lengthening Surgery involves cutting through ligaments which work like elastic bands, pulling the penis back up inside the body after losing an erection and going limp.
These ‘elastic bands’ are anchored at one end to the pubic bone and at the other end to the penis shaft. During an erection, the bands are stretched out to their maximum length. After losing the erection the ligaments pull the penis back up inside the body causing it to retract inside and appear smaller.
Cutting through these elastic bands means there is nothing left to pull the penis back up inside the body after losing an erection, therefore, it hangs out at nearly its full erect length, giving the illusion of a longer flaccid penis.
As the penis shaft itself has not been made longer, there is no increase in erect length.
A photograph of the anatomy of the penis ligaments is attached here. Warning the photo may be disturbing to some.
In order for the erect length of the penis to be increased surgically, the penile shaft itself (in pink below) has to be lengthened. This involves dividing the penis in two and grafting new tissue into the middle. It is invasive and expensive, with a cost of approximately £40,000.

Because the penis shaft hasn’t been made any longer (highlighted in yellow above), you will not gain any erect length.
After penis lengthening surgery you must wear a penis extender every day for 1 year to prevent reattachment of the ligaments.
If any minor increase in erect length is observed by the patient during the year following surgery, it is due to the wearing of the penis extender rather than the surgery.
“A penis extender, or liposuction of the pubic fat pad, are the only options that work if the patient is seeking additional erect length.”
Methods for additional Flaccid Length
By adding penis procedure to the penis the patient can achieve almost the same amount of increased flaccid length as can be achieved by the ligamentolysis procedure (commonly known as penis lengthening surgery).
Penis-lengthening surgery is not suitable for the majority of patients given the risks of this procedure, the limited benefits, and the effective alternatives available.

A penis extender device (below) is also an option to increase flaccid and erect penis length.
In the field of medicine, penis enlargement surgery remains controversial.
It has among the highest rates of reported complications, and, among the lowest rates of long-term patient satisfaction when participants are questioned about their outcomes over a long-term horizon. Some of the reasons not to go ahead with penis enlargement surgery are outlined in the following links provided by the NHS and various Urology Journals.
European Urology (2008) Link
“…the use of cosmetic surgery to enlarge the penis remains highly controversial. There is a lack of any standardization of all described procedures. Indications and outcome measures are poorly defined, and the reported complications are unacceptably high. In our opinion, until new, reliable, and more objective and reproducible data are available, these procedures should be regarded as investigational and patients should be discouraged from undergoing these invasive treatments.”
UK NHS Link
There is an inordinate amount of misinformation regarding penis enlargement surgery on the internet and in popular culture. We have sought to address some of the most common misconceptions on the page Penis Enlargement Fact vs Fiction.
Penoplasty surgeons will often neglect to inform patients of some risks and limitations of penis enlargement surgery.
In many instances it is not explained to the patient that penis lengthening by suspensory ligament division is only effective in achieving increased flaccid penis length: in the erect state, no gain in length is s possible.
All prospective patients should read widely on the subject of penis enlargement, particularly the surgical approaches, before committing to a procedure. Our non-surgical procedures may be a better option for those who do not wish to accept the risk of higher than normal levels of reported complications; the invasive aspect of surgery, and the lengthy recovery time.
Information from government sources or industry associations is worth considering, as the information often provides an independent perspective on the pros and cons of penis enlargement surgery. We recommend searching online for cases in which penis enlargement surgery has not been successful, in order to be fully informed of the risks and limitations. The possible downside risks to surgery are real, potentially severe, and occur not infrequently.
Penis enlargement has become safer and more effective in recent years. It is possible to undergo a lower risk enlargement procedure for penis thickening using dermal procedures proven in facial aesthetics, and supported by peer-reviewed research, such as those based on Hyaluronic Acid. This procedure is available at our London Harley Street address.
There is a wealth of information available to those considering undertaking penis enlargement surgery, including in our medical literature section. Our surgeons are experienced in dealing with all aspects of male genital surgery and will clarify any questions you may have.
Penis procedures are lower risk than surgery. No surgery is necessary and the procedure is reversible by injecting a substance which dissolves away the procedure if necessary.
Penis procedure is metabolised (absorbed) by the body over 12 – 24 months, at which point most patients have up to 50% of the procedure remaining. In rare cases, penis procedure can be absorbed more quickly, or last longer than expected.
High-risk substances, usually a form of polymer or plastic, can provide permanent results, however, they are not allowed to be used in Australia as they cause serious complications.
In some cases, safe reversible penis procedures, and bio-stimulatory procedures can produce results lasting many months or years beyond their expected lifespan.
* As with fat transfer, it is possible to increase the girth of the penis by up to 2 inches, however, this requires a large number of procedures.
More procedure results in more penis girth.
Resume sex after 2 weeks when using Androfill procedure technique
No need to take time off work

The procedure typically takes 30 minutes. Walk in – walk out basis.
Swelling, which can last up to 1 month
Bruising (1 week)
Filler migration (procedure moving from where it was injected). Rare after the first week when injected using the Androfill technique
Uneven distribution of procedure. The procedure can be shaped and moulded during the first week before it sets. The procedure can be altered or dissolved using Hyaluronidase enzyme
Infection (rare). New patients are expected to take a 5-day course of antibiotics and abstain from sex for 7 days.
* Individual results will vary from person to person.
Generally Less Safe (Penis Surgery is Higher Risk)
Fat transfer surgery is higher risk than penis procedure procedures due to the need to go under general anaesthetic, and a greater risk of complications. See recent death from fat embolism.
Fat is made by the body and found in most places, however, the body does put any fat in the penis naturally. The penis needs to be firm when erect rather than surrounded in a layer of fat.
Temporary – Usually lasts 3 – 12 months *
Fat is reabsorbed by the body over 3 – 12 months after which ‘top-ups’ are required. A small amount of fat can survive in the penis for a very long time, however, the result is not permanent.
Fat is living tissue and its survival requires it to establish a new blood supply after being removed from the stomach. There is no fat in penile tissue naturally, so the survival rate, when transferred to the penis is low. Any fat that survives is distributed arbitrarily along the shaft with areas of fat survival and areas in which no blood supply has been established (fat necrosis). The result is lumpiness.
* Results will vary from person to person.
Claims are often made that a fat transfer to the penis will provide a permanent result, however, this is misleading. A small amount of the fat transferred to the penis may survive for a long time, however, any permanent size gain is most likely to be in the form of hard nodules of necrotic fat with calcification. In almost all cases a fat transfer will need to be repeated a number of times in order to smooth out irregularities and maintain any increase in size.
Depending on your profession more than 2 weeks may be required off work and patients should not have sex for 6 weeks.

Fat transfer surgery typically takes 1-2 hours in a private hospital and typically does not require an overnight stay.
Fat transfer – most common complications:
Swelling, which can last up to 3 months
Bruising (2 weeks)
Infection (rare, but serious). Antibiotics are prescribed.
Skin fibrosis
Scarring
Skin necrosis requiring surgical removal
Fat necrosis, fat nodule formation
Embolism, death (very rare)
* Individual results will vary from person to person.
Fat transfer is generally safe for penis enlargement, however, the results are inferior to dermal procedures.

Uneven, lumpy results after fat reabsorption

Risk 1.
The long term satisfaction rate is low (33% satisfied patients).
“The [penis lengthening] procedure led to an average increase of 1.3 cm in flaccid penis length.
However, only 35% of men who had the operation were happy with the results.” [Emphasis added].
Referenced Study: European Urology
Result:

“Penis length surgery involves cutting the ligament with which the penis is attached to the pubic bone and grafting added skin to the base to increase length. This will increase the size of the flaccid penis by up to 2cm, but it doesn’t affect the size of the erect penis. The cut ligament may also not provide the support it originally did, which means that you might find your erections less satisfactory as a result. There is also a risk that this type of surgery may cause the side effect of pain during sex.” [Emphasis added].
Risk 2.
Penis Lengthening Surgery is considered by some important medical bodies not to have been shown to be safe or effective.
“The American Urological Association considers the division of the suspensory ligament of the penis for increasing penile length in adults to be a procedure which has not been shown to be safe or efficacious [effective].” (emphasis added).

Risk 3.
It can make Sex uncomfortable.
NHS – Penis Length Surgery
The most common technique involves cutting the ligament that attaches the penis to the pubic bone and performing a skin graft at the base of the penis to allow for the extra length. Professor Wylie says the surgery can result in an average gain in length to the flaccid penis of 2cm, but there will be no change to the size of the erect penis.
Furthermore, the erect penis won’t point as high as before the operation because the ligament which was cut no longer offers support.
“A lot of men who have this treatment don’t truly appreciate this loss of angle,” says Professor Wylie. “It can make sex quite uncomfortable. You’ve got to do a lot more manoeuvring with your partner. The advantage of a 2cm gain in flaccid length is far outweighed by the loss of angle of erection.”
Professor Wylie
The ligaments that stabilise your penis are partially cut.
These ligaments function to lift and stabilise your penis when erect.
After lengthening surgery the penis can be less stable horizontally and vertically.
There can also be scarring and infection.
Risk 4.
It can leave scarring.
To access the penis suspensory ligaments an incision has to be made, as shown below.

When all healed the scarring is partially covered by the pubic hair, however some of the scarring will always be visible.
Examples of scarring from penis lengthening surgery are below.

Scarring may not be an issue to you, for example, if you are married or in a long-term relationship and your partner knows about your penis lengthening surgery.
In this case, the scarring is unlikely to cause you any embarrassment.
If you are a young man and expect to have numerous sexual partners during your lifetime, then it would be worth considering whether you will feel comfortable explaining the scars under your pubic hair to current and future sexual partners.
Risk 5.
The most common complication is Penile Shortening.
Unfortunately penile shortening is the most common complication of penis lengthening surgery (ligamentolysis).
“Penile shortening is a major complication of penile lengthening surgery, usually resulting from the freely hanging penis reattaching to the pubic bone located higher on the corporal bodies. The likelihood of this complication can be minimised by the placement of surrounding soft tissues, fat tissues, silicone, polytetrafluoroethylene, Gore-Tex, and other artificial materials.” [Emphasis added].
Nam Cheol Park, Kim, Moon, Penile Augmentation 2016

The risk of ligaments reattaching can be lowered by inserting a silicone buffer to help prevent ligaments from reattaching and the penis shortening.
In a small number of cases, the silicone buffer can become infected and may need to be surgically removed.
Wearing a penis extender for 8 hours per day for 1 year after surgery can also help to prevent retraction and penis shortening after surgery.
It is worth purchasing and wearing a penis extender for an extended time before your surgery, to see how it feels and to make sure that wearing one after surgery will not be too uncomfortable for you, or disrupt your normal routine.
You’ll need to wear an extender every day after lengthening surgery.
Risk 6.
Infection.
Infection is a major risk of penis lengthening surgery.
In some cases the results can be severe.

Significant pain can result for up to 1 month following the procedure of this procedure.
No more than 4 ml of the procedure should be injected in one session.
This procedure should not be placed near the head of the penis.
The procedure comes in a 1.2 ml syringe and is priced at £280 per ml / £336 per syringe.
Safety first: In the unlikely event of a problem, Teoysal Ultra Deep can be dissolved away using Hyaluronidase enzyme, reversing the procedure. However, this particular procedure is difficult to dissolve and may require a number of visits to the clinic.
Price per ml £280 (1.2 ml syringe).
* Individual results will vary from patient to patient.
Ellansé
Ellansé ‘E’ / Extended £280 per ml
A higher risk procedure that can’t be dissolved. Experienced patients only.
Ellansé ‘E’
(A long-lasting collagen bio-stimulator procedure – Up to 4 Years).

Benefits:
Cheaper than Hyaluronic Acid procedures over the long term as the procedure lasts up to 4 years, depending on the type used.
Ellansé S – 1 year / Ellansé M – 2 years / Ellansé L – 3 years / Ellansé E – 4 years
Ellansé works by stimulating collagen procedureion.
Immediate results and a longer-lasting alternative to Hyaluronic acid.
Ellanse is reabsorbed and passed out of the body over 2 to 4 years.
Downsides:
Ellansé cannot be dissolved away like Hyaluronic Acid – this makes Ellansé a higher risk procedure.
* Individual results will vary from patient to patient.
Ellanse – 10 ml per session is the maximum recommended per session.
Having too much procedure in a single visit will result in a poor outcome.
Filler Types: Dissolvable (Hyaluronic) vs not-dissolvable (Ellanse).
Hyaluronic acid procedure (H.A.)
(Lower Risk)
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance made by the body.
H.A. procedures are generally very safe (used commonly in the lips and face), and have a low complication rate.
H.A. procedures are biocompatible and can be dissolved away (reversing the procedure if necessary).
Safer (Lower Risk)
H.A. is naturally present in the body
Used for 15 years in the penis (South Korea since 2002)
Reversible (safety aspect)
Able to be dissolved (Hyaluronidase)
Alterable after final result
Low complication rate
Can be used in Glans Penis (Penis Head)
Smooth (with Androfill technique)
Firm (with Androfill technique)
Lasts 18 months (on average)
Budget £1,000 – £1,500 per year (10 years £10-15 k)
Main complications: Infection (low risk when taken with antibiotics), granuloma possible (rare).
Hyaluronic acid procedures are safe and effective for penis augmentation.
Ellansé procedure
(Higher Risk)
Ellansé is a polyester comprised of Polycaprolactone microspheres.
Ellansé encourages the procedureion of new collagen. It is biodegradable and slowly leaves the body over a number of years as it breaks down.
Once Ellansé is injected, it cannot be dissolved away or altered, which makes it higher risk than HA.
Ellansé
(Biodegradable Polyester / PCL)

Less Safe (Higher Risk)
Artificial Substance (Polyester / PCL / Plastic)
Used in the penis for 2 years (since 2016)
Irreversible (the procedure can’t be dissolved away once placed)
Non-alterable (the substance remains for 4 years)
High complication rate (granuloma / hard lumps in the penis)
Can’t be used in Glans Penis (Penis Head)
Smooth (with Androfill technique)
Firm (with Androfill technique)
Can last 4 years (Ellanse ‘E’)
Less expensive per year (if no complications occur)
Main complications: Granuloma (hard lumps forming in the penis), infection, other tissue reactions.
Treating a complication caused by Ellanse can be expensive and may cause permanent penis damage.
Due to the higher risk of complications, Dr Horn prefers Hyaluronic acid procedures to Ellansé.
